Crossposted from Skie's journal, so moar people can read the lulz:

Today I, while hanging out with Rel, I decided that I would test how well her d20 rolled. I picked it up and decided to do a simple averaging of three rolls. 12, 6, 16. Not too bad, overall. To try my luck at the die, I decided a fourth roll was in order.

1.

Two hours later, I decided that I wanted to see if the die itself had forgiven me for rolling it for non-averaging-purposes and I gave it a second toss.

1.

Rel, chuckling at my misfortune, decided that she would try her hand at rolling her die. We both figured that it was all a coincidence until she rolled it.

20.

Moral of the story: Make sure your die loves you and is loyal to you. Shit like this happens, and defies all logic and probability.

Walking out of class today, I noticed an audition signup sheet outside one of the theatre rooms for The Pillowman.

I read this play back in Intro to Theatre back in...sophomore year? And performed a scene from it with my friend as our final. I played Katurian, basically the main character, and man did I have a hell of a lot of fun playing him and performing that scene.

I'm not going to sign up for this, though, even though it's gender-blind casting. Everyone who's signing up is likely an actor/theatre major/had tons more experience than me in acting. It's a shame, but it's too late for me to get into this stuff, even if I adore this play =\ I'll try to catch it when they put it on, at least.
