Have the whole POTO movie highlights CD on my PC right now. I'm going to buy it (well, the 2 disc version) as soon as it comes out though, so yeah.
Overture is good. ToM is nice. Patrick rocks. Angel of Music, great great. The Mirror...eh.
Gerry has yet to really impress me. Too...rock-ish and stuff. MotN so far does NOT sound smooth and seductive. I don't like his pronounciation. Seems like he's hissing parts out, too. I'm just nitpicky, though. I---wait, I think a word in that line was changed---oh well. I'm typing as I listen to the song. Big "be" time---well, he hits it. A little strained, but...oh well. ...I miss Hugh. ;.; Alright. Gerry is decent. I'll live. Will update as I continue listening.
Oh, and Emmy is pretty good. Patrick=r0x0r.
Managers good. AHHHHHHHHHH THEY CUT OUT PARTS OF PRIMA DONNA. Not the front part, but the background going-ons... Like "Is this her angel of music?" and "..Angel or a madman" (I forgot the first word or two of that phrase) and some others. ::sobs:: I LIKED THAT PART. Oi.
AIAOY=very nice.
AIAOY reprise: He starts out an octave too low. But eh. He does it pretty good. He's good with the last bit...sings "do" and "phantom" rather...for lack of better words, lamely, but I'll deal. and NO EVIL LAUGHTER! WTF! ;_; Even Hugh manages in an evil cackle, damnit!
Masquerade: Really great so far. ....GODDAMNIT. THEY TURNED CHRISTINE AND RAOUL'S CONVO INTO DIALOGUE. Really lame cheesy dialogue, too. Ugh. And during the cool slow part near the end...they were good...and then IT WENT ON CRACK AND SPED IT UP LIKE 200 BPM WTF YO.
Wishing: Very pretty.
Point of No Return: Okay, I like Gerry here. Emmy sounds good...very seductress. Whoo, new instrumental near the end! WHOA it's COOL.
Finale: ...Eh. It's okay. ...HE SANG "Go now, go now and leave me". WTF. And didn't yell "MAKE YOUR CHOICE." ;_; "You alone can make my song take flight" was an octave too low. ::cries::
Now, I realize I am being extremely nitpicky. But I have the right. I HAVE SEEN THIS SHOW 17 TIMES. 17 TIMES. I know it from the inside-out. So yeah.
