It's already New Years Eve...
Dec. 31st, 2001 06:08 pmWow. Did this year pass by quick. So much stuff happened...
I'm going to make a list of a bunch of memories for me in this year, 2001. They're not all in order but oh welp.
1. First getting into DDR. That happened around January. Frank, who was introduced to me via D7, got me into it after I met him at (the now closed down) Entertainment World on Main St (close to Northern Blvd) in Flushing. Frank was there with his friend, Larry. First thing when I walked in, I saw them dancing to Afronova. My reaction: "I'M SUPPOSED TO DO THAT?!"
2. Going to Entertainment World with Miaka, Olivia, and Minako over midwinter recess in mid February. Met up with Frank there. Passed my first trick song, Butterfly (the original one). FYI, Entertainment World had a 3rd mix machine.
3. Winning honorable mention in the science fair. I did a lil experiment about how colors of drinks affect taste. I thank you, whoever in the PFFA gave me that idea (I think it was LizzieMu...). Course, my partner didn't do a thing but...oh welp.
4. Meeting Randy. I can't remember exactly when we met. It was in a FF chat, and to think...if I hadn't thrown that water balloon back at him in the water fight, I never would have become his friend. ::laughs:: The stupidest things can lead to so much.
5. The play my class put on in June. Ah, it was SO stupid but funny. I had one of the leading roles since the other girl dropped out.
6. My breakup with Terry, and my mini-relationship with the Ben I know online. That period of time was both heaven and hell for me. But at least I learned a lot from it, and I grew stronger from the experience.
7. Getting my PSX! Ok, this happened really early in the year (hell, it happened at Christmas of 2000) but ah well. It got me totally hooked on RPGs and Final Fantasy.
8. Joining Footsoldiers NYC! I joined the DDR group around late March, and that's what really got me obsessed with DDR.
9. First time going to NY Dance Sports. It was on a Thursday before the Footsoldiers NYC March invitational. My parents and I had gone to eat at a Japanese resteraunt nearby and I begged them to let me check out NYDS before the invitational on Saturday (which my dad agreed to let me go to). I played the 1st mix machine there. On Butterfly, I got an A...Brilliant 2 U, I got a S...and Boom Boom Dollar, I got a SS. Was I happy. ^^
10. Getting together with my Randy-chan. ^_^ August 7th, if memory serves me correctly.
11. BIG APPLE ANIME FEST!!!! I went on October 28th. My first anime con. I went with Miaka and Randy. I wanted to cosplay but couldn't make the costume x_X Oh welp. It was so much fun! ^^
12. Halloween. Not too much happened but I went trick or treating and had a mini party with Minako and Rena. I dressed up as Chichiri, Minako dressed up as Tifa (MY COSTUME *RAR*), and Rena dressed up as a witch (the only normal one outta the group, LMAO). The part I will remember most about that day was during trick or treating. While Minako and I were walking through a hall, I was dancing and skipping and singing "Ochanoko Saisai Hengen Jizai", one of Chichiri's songs. In the middle of a line, I trip over a doormat and stumble for about ten feet. *Grrrrr*
13. Taking the co-ops. Early to mid November, I can't remember exactly when. Very long test (4 hours) but not that hard. I hope I get into the high schools I applied to...
14. My birthday! December 7th! Ben (biore whore), if you say "HAPPY PEARL HARBOR DAY" to me on my next b-day, I swear you're DEAD. LoL. I got all of 2 presents from my entire class (Minako and Rena) but ah well. I had a mini-party at my house, invited Minako, Rena, and Miaka over. We played some GCN then went to NYDS. Tons and tons of people were there! I got tons of presents ^^ ::hugs all her pals who were at NYDS that day:: It was great. Then we went to Aryoshi, a Japanese resteraunt, to eat. I had so much fun that day! It was the best birthday I ever had! ^_^
15. Meeting Ben, aka biore whore. ::snickers:: I can't even remember how I met him (dunno whether I met him first online or at NYDS or what...), but I'm really glad to have met him! He's a great person, even though he can act like a total baka hentai sometimes XD Too bad he's going to college for a while ;_; Me gonna miss him...
16. Winning a DDR tournament on July 28th! I dressed up as Tifa, and won 1st place in division A! It was at NYDS.
17. GETTING IN THE NEWSPAPER, DARNIT! LOL. I got into an article about DDR in the New York Post. I was on the big picture and there was a lil paragraph bout me. *dance dance dance*
18. September 11th. -_- I remember this day vividly. I was in Mrs Carracappa's class for reading class when we first got word of it. We were the first class to know, because my teacher's husband worked at WTC (he was ok, though...thank god). At first we thought it was a freak accident but when the second plane hit..... *sigh*
19. Getting Gamecube! GAMECUBE 0WNZ, okay?! Xbox SUUUUUUCKS. XD!!!
20. Finding out about Fushigi Yuugi OVA 3. At first I was super excited and was dying to see it. But when I read the translations, I got pissed off. It's the same thing over and over. Booooring. And TASUKI AND CHICHIRI AREN'T TOGETHER!!!! AAAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH! *hiss*
21. Going to Chinatown a couple of times. Chinatown is a cool place. Bought tons of anime videos and played Para Para Paradise!
22. Watching Fushigi Yuugi!!! This is the best anime series I've ever seen. I love it sooo much.
23. Writing a lotta fanfics.
24. Getting into a Tasuki/Chichiri obsession. *snicker*
25. Making so many friends! ::hugs all of her friends:: I don't know where I'd be without ya'll!
