What a day.
Aug. 9th, 2003 09:58 pmLet's start with the afternoon for my sake. Tadas and I went to see Phantom of the Opera today. And it was UBER COOL. We were in the second row. It's amazing the details you can see up close. Other than getting scared shitless by a person dressed up like a monkey with cymbals, and almost having my face burned off by pyrotechnics (mainly flames going FWOOOOOM from the stage), it was awesome. Although the Phantom could have done a bit better, it was still wonderful. Piangi had more trouble than usual getting on the elephant in the beginning, lmfao.
So yeah. Halfway through the show, Tadas tells me he is like, totally infactuated with the guy who plays Raoul. John Cudia, I think his name is. So yeah. That was amusing XD After laughing to myself at Tadas grinning like an idiot at the scene when Raoul's like, kinda soaked and has a torn shirt, and after the show was over, we went to find the stage door. Eventually we found it, but like, you'd never know it's the stage door. We were the only ones waiting there. So we wait, wait, wait, and then John comes out! So Tadas is like "CANIGETYOURAUTOGRAPH" and then "CAN I HAVE A HUG". And he got a hug. XD!!! I asked for an autograph and a hug as well. The guy is really nice. So then we went, spent $60 on Broadway souveniers (I have a Les Mis shirt that FITS now! And the unabridged book! And a UBER LES MIS BOOK ABOUT THE MUSICAL. And a couple of postcards. But yeah), then ate Japanese fast food, then went home. So yeah. Fun fun day.
