What teh fuck.
Aug. 15th, 2003 10:02 amThat was a weird power outage.
The concert yesterday was funky. Tadas and I wandered around for a while then went home after realizing we didn't have enough money to try and get into Phantom of the Opera XD So we go back to Forest Hills, stop by my mom's job, then walk home. As soon as we get to my building, they say there's been a power outage. They didn't let anyone in the building, so we walked back to my mom's job and hung out there. Then we found out the severity of the situation so we're like "Wtf". It was organized chaos. None of the street lights were working. Luckily, no accidents. We then stopped by my mom's friend's house and hung out there for a while until it was dark out and we had to light a bunch of candles. Then we went to another one of my mom's friend's houses, hung out there for a while, almost set the house on fire, and then went home. Tadas stayed over, so we chatted for a while, lit random candles, etc. Oh, and the water wasn't working either. -.- So we just like, chatted, went on the terrace, etc. I have NEVER seen so many stars in NYC before. It was like, utterly and completely dark. I eventually went to sleep (boiling heeeeaaaat) and woke up a bit before 7am...still no power. Wtf. So I walk around, Tadas wakes up, we chat, play a game of Life, and bam, lights go on. Roadrunner just got back on so I am happy to be on the computer again.
That was...an interesting experience, to say the least.
