Then WHY are there so many people getting in the 70s that are content with that?! Did they all dumb up when they got here? Is that their fault, or perhaps the fault of the teachers?

Reasons I'm Looking Forward to the POTO movie
-Patrick Wilson is in it. He's a pretty good singer, and has Broadway experience.
-It's POTO. On the big screen. DUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRR.
-Potential for Erik/Raoul slashiness. Who knows.
-Potential for more Erik/Raoul fans to be created by previous point, which can lead to more Erik/Raoul fics. Tee hee.
-Possibility of a new song. Most likely for Raoul, since he has no songs of his own.
-The swordfight. Hell. Depending on how they do it, do you know how much damned sexual tension could be in it? XP!!!

Reasons I'm Dreading the POTO movie
-Joel Shumacher. Nuff said.
-Gerard Butler. Can the man even SING?!
-Some songs may be cut out. I almost am POSITIVE that Prima Donna and Notes are gonna be simplified to hell since it's hard to follow everything that's going on. Even now, when I've seen it 8 times, I find myself surprised there's more lyrics in there than I know.
-The new legion of teenybopper fans. "Oooh, the Phantom was soooooo hoooot!"...The first person who even utters that gets stabbed.
-The possibility that Erik's deformity will be minor. This fear has been sparked by a statement Hugh Panaro, the current Phantom on Broadway said: "They want him to look hot. Which is so Hollywood to me--'We want a deformed person, but we don't want him to look too deformed!' Maybe he should just have one big pimple!"
-No Michael Crawford!!! ::sobs::
-Or John Cudia for that matter....damn, I woulda LOVED for him to be in the movie. He IS Raoul. I mean, seriously. He plays him so perfectly. He even told me he woulda liked to be in the movie. But as I mentioned in an earlier post, if he was in the movie, he wouldn't be playing Raoul on Broadway right now and thus I wouldn't have met him/become aquainted with him.
-The swordfight. I mean. WHAT THE HELL. Where would they get swords from anyway.

Hm...about 15 months until the movie comes out. Well. Here's to hoping it's good.
