Dear. friggen. god.
Oct. 11th, 2003 12:17 amI just had the biggest scare of my life today.
Went to see POTO for the 8th time. Upon reaching the theater, I noticed the poster with John Cudia and Sandra Joseph was gone. I just paused and went to Tadas "...I have a feeling this is a bad omen." So we go into the theater. Not too long after, I'm flipping through my playbill.
'Hugh Panaro
Sandra Joseph
Jim *I forget his last name. It might have been Weitzer, but I dont have my playbill with me*'
I did a double take.
I glance back.
No John Cudia.
I stare in shock for a few minutes. Tadas glances at me and is all "What---" before he realizes it too. We're just...both silent. I frantically go through the playbill, trying to find a trace of John. Nowhere. I almost break down crying. I'm emotional, so sue me, and I love John Cudia.
I manage to go through the show, though. By the way, Jim...his replacement...sucks. No. He's just plain BAD. I thought he was terrible and overacted to no end.
Although he did provide me with the funniest scene I've EVER seen. I'll just put it this way:
"SO! IT IS TO BE VAR BETWEEN US! BUT THIS TIME MY CLEVER FRIEND, THE DISASTER WILL BE YOURS!!! *steps forward, points, POSE!*"
It was like, Super Raoul or something. I nearly died laughing. By day, the Vicomte de Chagny...by night, SUPER RAOOOOUL! ...Errrr, yeah.
Show eventually ends. I run to the stage door. Wait a while. Miss Hugh Panaro (aka THE FUGGIN PHANTOM). Realize it was him just as he heads off. Proceed to go into a stream of cursing and yelling. Wait more. See Patricia, who plays Carlotta. I talk to her and ask her what happened to John, and get a huge relief. He's just on break because he's getting married. As much as that upsets me (XP), it's much better than him being gone forever. So he'll be back in the beginning of November.
I'm taking this all as a sign to take a one month break from Phantom.
Then I'll go the first day John is back. Whenever that is.
