Now, I'm all one for opinions. You have yours, I have mine, I'll respect them, etc.
BUT THE GIPPAL/RIKKU PAIRING JUST MAKES ME WANT TO KILL THINGS.
JUST BECAUSE GIPPAL JOKINGLY FLIRTS WITH RIKKU A FEW TIMES IN THE GAME DOES NOT MEAN THEY ARE IN LOVE. IT MEANS HE HAS A SENSE OF HUMOR AND LIKES TEASING RIKKU.
Now I'm not denying that they MAY have been together. But there's NO CONCRETE EVIDENCE towards it. And even if they were, they broke up. BADABUM. Didn't work.
Why can't people put THOUGHT into pairings....sigh. Sooooo shallow...
...I don't even know why the pairing angers me so much o.O . It's just something about the fact that so many fangirls/fanboys are blindly following the pairing without even thinking about if it'd WORK or not, perhaps. -.-
