Ok. So around 10:30, Tadas and I meet Kate and Erika in front of the Majestic. We decide to get our tickets for the afternoon performance. So we try to...and the guy at the box office was a complete ass. Actually tried to sell Kate 22nd row tickets without telling her what seats they were. So eventually we went to another person and got rear mezz seats, but we were all sitting together and it was nice. We wandered around for a while afterwards, ate some pizza...Tadas was making fun of Jim the entire time, much to the anguish of Kate...then around 1:15 we go by the Nederlander to wait for Luisa. And we wait. and wait. Luisa shows up about a quarter to 2. XD So I tackle her, we talk for a bit, then run off. No understudies cept for Piangi, so yeah. Took our seats. Show started.
Now, highlights:
A) Carrington (who was the auctioneer) cracked during one of his lines about the chandelier. Tadas, Kate, and I nearly burst out laughing. It took all of my strength to keep quiet.
B) Sandra COMPLETELY missed her cue after AIAOY, when she has to sing "I must go...they'll wonder where I am", etc. And you could tell her and John were laughing at it.
C) Kate and I nearly dying during MOTN.
D) Having to lean really down to see Red Death. Then pointing out to Kate a particular aspect of his costume. Which sent her into hysterics.
E) Hugh dancing...yes, DANCING around during "Bravo Monsieur". Oh my god. I nearly died right then and there.
F) Hugh at the very end when chasing John and Sandra out of the stage/lair. He was clawing at them. CLAWING. Oh man.
G) Kate screaming out "HUGH I WANT YOUR BABIES" at curtain call.
Now, after that, we DASHED to the stage door. Kate and I were running like hell. So we get there, but Tadas and Erika didn't come..so we're like, wtf? Turns out they set barricades outside cause P. Diddy was in some other show that had a stage door right by POTO's. So they couldn't get back. Anyway. We hung around for a bit, and John comes out. With a baseball bat, so I'm like, wtf. XD So I hug him, talk to him for a bit. Turns out his contract is expiring sometime soon (May 1st! Wtf! too soon)...I REALLY hope he gets it renewed. POTO isn't the same without him. He is Raoul. I cannot enjoy POTO with another Raoul. I dunno why, but I just can't. So if he leaves....I will be one pissed off panda. Anyway. So yeah, he was off to softball practice. XD Some league thing...I think I know what he's talking about, and if I'm right, then I'm going. and cheering him and the team on. >.> And omg. Someone (I assume someone else who is an actor or crew member) goes up to him and is all like "OMG CAN YOU SIGN MY SHIRT" jokingly and John's like "o.o I'll sign you with a baseball bat. =p" That was amusing. So Patricia, the girl who plays Carlotta, comes out...says hi, and she takes a pic of me, Kate, and John. Which I think came out nice. Then he heads out. And we're waiting for Alex, the intern stage manager who was gonna bring us backstage. And we wait. and wait. and wait some more. And P. Diddy passes us by and says hi. And we're like "o.o Hi.". And Kate spazzes out. And I'm like "o.o So?" But yeah. That was interesting. And we wait....till 6..and we're like. Ok. Screw this. We leave, pissed off. Then Kate talks to some random crew member and turns out that yes, there IS indeed an Alex, and that he'll meet us at 6:30. So we're all, yaaaaaay. We get ice cream, come back. Alex meets us. And we go backstage. *_* I saw Hugh on the way in, smiled and said hi, he's like "^^ Hi!". And he. was eating. an apple. Ahahaha. Ok. So then we go off to the side..and...ONSTAGE. WE WENT ONSTAGE. Alex described a bunch of stuff to us about how the show worked, and all the technical stuff...we saw all the props..we touched the wheelchair John sits in at the beginning (XD)...we touched Box 5...we were a foot away from Erik's throne...the mirror...the other mirror...the chandelier was right by us...Christine's dressing room...the elephant....Omg. It was all right there. And just, omg. We were. ON. THE. FRIGGEN. STAGE. We were just, spazzing out. So we hung there for a while before sadly having to go. Spazzed out some more, then went home.
I am. so. happy. So happy. so sososososososososo happy. Right.
So anyway. On my to-do list.
1) Write John a letter. o.o ...wonder if he could get me a job backstage XD Pfft, I wish. But hell. That'd be the best job in existence. And I need a job. Pfft.
2) Clean up the house.
3) Work more on my songstress costume.
4) Write Tadas a letter.
