I found a RP for Damien and Cosmas, which is great. Fun times indeed. Damien's working for ShinRa now. What else can I say?
In other news, with the end of theatre class comes our final project (and final exam)---acting. Which of course, got me nervous. I haven't acted since 7th grade, and then, it was plays that I wrote/directed/etc. Really stupid ones, too. So basically, I have no idea what to do when it comes to acting. I was asked if there was any particular kind of scene/etc I would want to try, and said "Well, I'd like to play a guy. And no comedy, please, I suck at that. And...well, honestly, if you can find any character similar to Damien, that'd be perfect." (Thanks to our first big assignment in that class, the playwriting, my professor is very familiar with Damien now, haha)
Skip to about two weeks ago, I'd say? I get assigned a play called "The Pillowman", and the role of Katurian K. Katurian (his parents are, indeed, funny people). I read the scene, found it fascinating, bought the whole play, read it, fell in love. The play itself is just...wow. Very, very dark, gruesome, yet still...funny, in ways. Extremely interesting. And Katurian's a character I can definitely get into. Seriously. He shares a lot of similarities with Damien, I mean, really...it's like if Damien was a writer instead of a scientist.
Gotta finish memorizing my lines, but so far, so good. I've got a good half at least done. Lisa (who's my partner in this, she's playing Tupolski...since there's only two of us, we cut out Ariel, but gave some of his lines to Tupolski) and I rehearsed for a good hour and a half today. Which went great. Though I keep screwing up the rant near the end of what we're doing, where he gets all panicky about Michal. I start messing up the words and throwing in the curses in the /weirdest/ of places, making the sentences completely unintelligable. Whoops.
In more other news, Rock Band is awesome. I have claimed the drums as my signature instrument. I can do medium without much trouble, and I'm actually managing some of hard so far. Whoop!
