Aug. 9th, 2008 02:32 amDay one of Otakon has come to a close. So, let us start the report!
Suu joined me here at my hotel room last night (she's staying with Ami tonight and tomorrow night though). This morning, after getting ready (and me in my Alle costume), we headed over to the con center and met Ami. We ran into a flightsuit Setsuna there, who was totally awesome. ♥ Suu had to get her badge, so we waited on line for a bit, though I eventually ran off to join Nui on the dealer's room line since we were going to mad rush for the doujin. Nui=<3 except she keeps hitting me like the whore she is :| :| :| ABUSIVE BITCH. Um. So me and her waited on line for a little while before we ran into the dealer's room. Sadly, no doujin. Curses. I only ended up buying a Grimmjow plushie and two...PVC figurines? of Dynames and Kyrios. They were $12 each so whatever. Ami later on got the only Haro they had, so grahhhhhh I need a working one.
And then we all met up, went to the Artist's Alley. I commissioned a HalleGraham pic which should hopefully be done tomorrow. Just for you, Nui darling.Then was food and you know what fuck you Subway. Wait 15 min on line to find out that you ran out of bread so I get my gd meatball marinara in a shitty wrap. And I get charged the same price. Hahaha no. Oh well. And then back to the con center, and met up with Eric, who was a very very lovely Tieria. I gave her her children (stack of floppy disks, and yes, I got a picture). We sat in the AMV room for a bit (lkasjdlasd missed a G00 vid and Baccano vid, so I'll have to go tomorrow) before heading to the Gundam photoshoot.
At said photoshoot, there were...let's see. Me as Alle, another Alle, Ami as Lockon, another Lockon, a Neena, two Tierias, and a Setsuna. At least, for 00. There were a lot of other series too but I don't know them well OTL. A group of us went to the dealer's room after that---and here, I have to point out something hilarious. Our group consisted of 00 cosplayers...and a Grimmjow. I shit you not. The Setz cosplayer's friend was cosplaying Grimm. What're the chances of that? So. We go to the Bandai booth and ask them if we can have a cardboard box. And yes. Setsuna became cardboard box Gundam.
So we find out there's supposed to be some kind of G00 photoshoot at 7pm, and stumble across another Lockon, another Setz, a Sumeragi, and a Marina. Some good pics from then. And then...Marina had a boombox. She put it on. And the group of ten or so of us were in a line Caramelldansing for the entire duration of the song. XD
We tried to get into Bad Anime Bad, but the line was cut off like three people ahead of us. So we went to watch 00 only to find that they replaced it with Seed. Thank you, Otakon. Ended up watching karaoke till the Gundam panel, which was pretty fun. Ambled off to see a midnight (more like Dark Hour) P3 photoshoot, then back here.
