NYAF~ Just went for today and the con itself was tiny and kind of blew but a few awesome things went on anyway today.
Soooo, I get there, stop by the Bandai booth to get a autograph ticket for Brad Swaile (Setsuna's dub VA) later. Roam around, buy a TTGL doujin (STILL no 00, I just went >| at the guy)... I ran into Nick, chatted with him for a while. Blah blah, more roaming, wenr to the Bandai panel. Nothing big of news, though they did go "o yea and we're showing the first two eps of the dub tonight =D" which made me spaz. After that, I headed to get Brad's autograph.
Let me say that I have watched the dub trailer a ridiculous amount of times, but nothing. Will compare. To the torture I went through at that booth. I was on line for maybe 45 minutes? The line wasn't so long, but Brad was drawing little Setsuna heads on every poster and etcetc. The booth decided they'd play the trailer in the background during the autograph session. ...Over. and over. and over. and over. and over. I must have seen that thing a few dozen times today. I want to cry now. But, anyway, I got my autographed poster (huge-ass 00 poster with the pic on the front of the official website), met up with Tadas. Wander wander wander, saw a TTGL cosplay skit Jenni was in, wander wander, got a hot dog, wander, then we went to the 00 panel. It...would up being more of a Brad Swaile panel, orz. But oh well. He's an absolutely hilarious guy.
So, they showed a new trailer at said panel. It started off with everyone's favorite failboat, Patrick. ...However, the sound wasn't working at first. So Brad proceeds to grab the microphone and do SFX and voices along with the muted trailer. Glory. Blah blah, Q&A, nothing spectacular. It really wasn't much of a 00 panel. We left early to get a good spot for the screening.
( 00 dub thoughts )Sooo, yeah. No real swag. Didn't see a Trans-Am Exia, which made me wibble, but oh well. All and all, crappy con, but great 00 events for today.
