In unrelated news, I still have to remind myself to stick with my learned lesson and switch strategies on...everything, really. It's safer that way.
In more unrelated news, what the hell do I do today until dinner. I'm out of interesting adaptations to watch. I mean, I guess I can rewatch the BBC miniseries. That was good until the dumbass plot twist thing at the end.
And it doesn't have any making out. Pity.
I just need to keep the muse(s) alive, I don't want the same thing happening with them that happened with Atton and Woozie.
Goddamnit. School starts tomorrow. 10am class. mmm. If I'm lucky, they won't make us come in for lab on Friday at 9am. And if that's the case, I won't have another early wakeup until next Thursday (since Monday's a holiday). ...man. Back to two or three hour breaks pretty much every day I'm in school.
I can't wait until Halloween. Learned lesson aside, I do want to do something this year. It's my favorite holiday, after all. I think I will go as Hyde again instead of Kirk. I don't have to waste money on a new costume that way. The only problem is the green highlights in my hair. Whoops. I'll find some kind of spray to cover that up if I can. Worse comes to worse and I end up alone again, I'll just hit kids with my cane. It's hard to be terrorizing when you're a 5'1" girl, though, even if you're dressed up like Hyde. Then again, it's musical Hyde, and he's kind of....more creepyhot than terrifying.
Unless you're the Hoff, then you're just get-the-fuck-away-from-me-ew terrifying, but not in the way the role even calls for. God, what is with his crazyfaces during Dangerous Game?
At least after digging around through about...idk, 5-10 versions of the Alive reprise, I finally found one on youtube I actually really like. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8cbwD1RhMs <---that. I like the staging and the sets in some of the foreign productions better, but out of all I saw, I think that when you wrap the whole package together, this one was my favorite. I have a bootleg with the guy somewhere in the house, shame I lost the thing. I'll look for it later. The Austrian one would have won my prize if it weren't for the fact that they chopped out my favorite part of the song ("Animals trapped behind bars at the zoo...." until "And I feel I'll live on forever"), and if the angle of the camera didn't make it so I couldn't see the fire effects at all.
I do sorely wish that Anthony Warlow had played the role onstage. He does it better than anyone, anyone else does. I get more acting and emotion out of just his voice on the recording than I do seeing any of these guys acting it.
I still haven't really seen any actor (in the American version, anyway) who fits the look of the character that I have in my head. They're all too....bulky. Too muscly, which doesn't make sense for Jekyll.
I need some different icons.
And maybe a better PB for Jekyll and Hyde since whatever pics I managed to scrounge up from the production are so low-res and bad quality in general. Except finding a PB for them would be impossible, especially since I have this specific picture in my head of what they look like. Not too far off from Damien and Cosmas, really.
