(no subject)

D&D today. I had a character I made who I really liked, and had a well-thought out backstory for this time! The roleplaying bits (exploring+gathering info) at the beginning were fun. Then was the dungeon.

And then we apparently attacked someone we weren't supposed to (without much at all warning of DO NOT ATTACK THEM), and proceeded to just about immediately get TPK'd. First session of a campaign and we're all dead. Yeeeeeah. Note to self: find new group, this is the second time this has happened.

At that, however! It seems that Skie, Leah, and Myst are going to be campaigning :D I'm using a modified version of the dwarf of mine that got killed today. I need to get used to 4e, though. Never played anything but 3.5e before.

ALSO. DRAGON AGE EXPANSION. SQUEE. AND OMG it has a character from The Calling in it. Can't wait. Now where's the Return to Ostagar DLC damnit?

So! Skie, Leah, Myst and myself started up that campaign last night, and it was fun times. Once we get used to it all, we can probably move a little faster and get moar done, but so far, so good. I still have to really learn 4e's battle system, though. When putting together my character sheet oh god what it feels like a completely different game from 3.5e. We played until, what, 5am? Later maybe?

Today, Dave & Busters at 4:30, which means I leave at around..hmm. Good question. 3:45? Doesn't take long to get to Times Square, no transfers necessary once I've caught the E train.

And tomorrow, to the thrift shop in Astoria to try to find stuff for cosplay.

Damn DDR machine at D&B. Stupid thing was broken, they refused to put any sort of sign on it saying "btw, fifteen seconds into the song, half of your arrows are going to stop registering!". It had a ton of old songs I liked, too. And...I don't remember what it was that we chose when we were trying to figure out how the damn machine worked, but I saw Gurren Lagann on the screen before it was all LOL FAIL.

I told one of the people working there "dude, my friend and I put our money in. The machine isn't working and there's no sign." and he basically went LOL TOO BAD and brushed me off. Their solution? They turned auto-fail off. Wow. Good job at fixing things, guys.

Didn't strike so lucky on the ticket games, but, eh. Maz is a monster with them, though, hitting the damn jackpots. Pssh. The food and drinks at the place were good, but expensive as hell. Such is Times Square, I guess?

Anyway.

Augh. Urge to RP James rising. Maybe I'll drop a character and app James...but...hmmm. Have to decide. Having him go into the hospital and run into PH would totally make everything worth it XD
