Aug. 4th, 2007 10:32 amHere we go again, me not updating my LJ in months. It'll be a miracle if I even finish this post and hit "Post entry."
Summer's a few weeks from being over, so what have I done with my free time? ...uh, not much. Well, I did hit level 50 in Lord of the Rings: Online. Elf hunter. That, in itself, is an amazing accomplishment for me, since I have never hit the max level in an MMO before. *cheer!*
I've spent a lot of time indoors this summer, because no one seems to be around...ever...no one really invites me to go out, either, so. Alas. Such is what I am used to. ::laughs:: I do want to get out more, though. I only wish I had more friends who could bloody stay out past 7pm.
Yesterday was a nice night. I would up going to the city with my mom and step-cousin from Germany, specifically, to the Village. We didn't get to do much walking around, though...we mainly ended up at this Mexican restaurant. Where they asked for ID when we first got there. Just me, of course. So I'm like "...erm...I'm...just going to eat, no drinking for me, ahaha!". And they let us sit down for food outside. ..So of course, waiter comes around and I order a cherry margarita anyway. *cough* Score one for lack of communication between bouncer and staff?
We did learn one thing, though. Get the small ones, not the big ones. First off, by the time you're halfway through the big one, it's already half melted. Second off, the damn things were $14 a pop! I remember staring at the check in shock when drinks came out to almost $90 (each of us had two). Though I doubt I'll be going back there anytime soon, anyway, so.
We were going to walk around St. Mark's Place, but the downpour started, so we just drove home. Peh. But hopefully we might try again some night next week.
On a related note, does /anyone/ know if anything a 18 year old can do in the damn city? Are there any clubs/places for dancing/etc that don't require you to be 21 to get into? I've heard that there are 18+ places, but I have no idea as to the location of them. I'm a night person, but I have nowhere to go, so I wind up stuck at home all the time...it's getting too boring. I want to go out and dance or something.
Episodes 1 and 2 of a great British show called Jekyll is on tonight on BBC America. 8pm to 10pm. Watch it, people. It's made of awesome and win.
also Gondorcest pwns you all Boromir/Faramir is teh win
